Spinning Drawing was a multi-sensory and social experience of drawing and listening to “scores” of music. The drawing component comprised of 4’ drawing wheels that invited multiplayer participation in the creation of spinning collective drawing. On table 7” circular pieces of card stock with a single hole punched in the middle were used as a surface to engage with pattern making and rhythm. Visitors could play their scores/drawings on various record players. One record player had a standard needle while others were altered to have drawing utensils for the stylus. Spinning Drawing was a practice in omitting music in favor of connecting the visual forms to associative sounds held in people’s imagination.
